Serves 6
6 medium Onions, sliced
1 Tbl. of Sugar
1/4 C. of Butter
1 Tbl. of Flour
1 C. of dry White Wine
4 C. of Beef Broth
loaf of French Bread, sliced into 1" pieces
6 Tbl. of Parmesan Cheese, shredded
6 slices of Swiss Cheese
- In a large pot, slowly melt the butter and add sugar and onions
- Slowly cook onions until they are softened and become translucent, about 25 minutes
- Sprinkle flour into pot and mix thoroughly
- Slowly add in white wine and stir
- Slowly add beef broth and simmer for 20 minutes
- Place 6 ovenproof bowls on a cookie sheet and turn oven on 'broil'
- Ladle soup into ovenproof serving bowls
- Place a slice of French bread on top of each bowl of soup
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese and lay a slice of Swiss cheese on top of bread slice
- Place cookie sheet of bowls under the broiler until cheese bubbles and browns
- Serve immediately and enjoy

Gonna have to try this one Quantas. I need to start bookmarking some of these recipes you've got going. I was thinking of making some French Onion a couple days ago.
