Three-Cheese Stuffed Shells
Serves 4
8 large Pasta Shells
1 C of Ricotta Cheese
1/2 C of shredded Mozzarella
1/4 C of grated Parmesan Cheese
1 tsp of Garlic Powder
1 tsp of Basil
2 C of Marinara Sauce
1/2 C of shredded Mozzarella
2 Tbl of grated Parmesan cheese
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Boil of large pot of water
- Place pasta shells in boiling water for 5 minutes
- Remove shells from boiling water and allow to cool slightly
- In a bowl, mix the cheeses, garlic powder, and basil
- In a baking pan pour a small amount of marinara sauce in the bottom
- In one hand, hold a pasta shell with open end facing up
- In the other hand, take a spoonful of the cheese mixture and place into the shell
- Placed stuffed shell open side down in the marinara-sauced pan
- Repeat process by filling the rest of the shells until pan is full
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce evenly over the top of the shells
- Spread mozzarella and parmesan over top
- Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake in oven for 20 minutes
- Turn on oven broiler 3 minutes to brown cheese and serve

Sounds simple and delicious. Have to try your version. I'm thinking add some spinach into the cheese mixture for inside as well.
May try and come to Chi town early 11. I know its a long time but figured I'd give you some notice!
My friend, Lauren, actually made a version with chopped spinach and Italian sausage on the inside. It was pretty yummy.
I will be on the lookout for you early '11.
